"Spring Tulips" Linocut Print by Emma Franz
Size: 7" x 5" (A5)
Hand carved and printed in Niagara, Ontario, Canada. Each print features the work's title, date, and the artist's signature. Depending on the print, it printed onto a variety of white, acid-free paper with non-toxic printing ink.
Each print is completely unique! In light of the print making medium, you rarely have a print that is completely identical to another (there may be small discrepancies). With the print being drawn, designed, carved, and printed by hand, each one has the character that comes with that.
Artist Thoughts:
I have loved tulips for as long as I can remember. I am sure some of that stems from living in Ottawa and going to see the tulip festival. Thousands upon thousands of tulips everywhere. One of my favourite colours is a cherry, bright red, followed by a butter yellow. I am sure one of the reasons tulips tend to steal my heart is because they tend to be accompanied by these lovely colour palettes.
